Youth can help the Pantry in many ways. Organizing a Food Drive is a great way to get involved. If you want to do more, youth ages 16 years and older may work at the Pantry during their school breaks from 11:45 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday without adult supervision being present. An adult must accompany all youth representing a group.
The ratio of adults to youth age 15+ is 10:1. The ratio of adults to youth under age 15 is 5:1.
Volunteers greet clients, meet 1:1 with clients, assist clients with shopping in the pantry, receive donations, stock shelves, drive truck, operate fork lift, conduct food drives, staff fundraising events, and more.
The Pantry always needs volunteers to help from 11:45 AM – at least 3:00 PM and 8:15-11am on Saturdays.
Please volunteer via the “contact us” page, email pantry ifpjc.org or call 317-736-5090.
